So that message was from the other forum? It looks like a post in a thread to me, rather than a PM. VBulletin PMs don't display across more than one page (i.e. not in a thread).

There was something along these lines a year or two ago, but it's history as far as I'm concerned.

yes, taken from last year or so, i rem as it was the 1st time I met that other lad...

anyway, it's now in my history book & closed.

Back to Galway meet! Anyone need any more info on B&B's, hotels etc just holler! I live in Salthill so I know the area well... But since there are 600k + people expected to this worldwide event, it will be manic! it will be booked up! & I'm trying to get info on all closed roads, public parking etc so as to help the cause! I was at the stop-over last 2009 & wow, gotta say it was great! 4am on the docks of Galway with 10,000 others, bands, stages welcoming in the boats! what a fantastic night....

lol, good to see a bit a humour thru all the moaning! never been to a Volv meet before so would be up for it! who's taking care of it? or is it a time & place affair? will probably stay locked in my car though... ya never know whose out there....... watchin................waiting...............teeth grinding............ lol

Very disappointed at the petty attempts to ruin yet another meet, and thats all I'm saying on the matter!

Mark, I like the idea of the museum too, was round it a couple of years ago and the transport side is very good.

I don't know about the rest of us from this part of the world, but Galway is too far for me too go to at the minute, couldnt afford the fuel costs alone! but feel free if everybody else wants to head there, we can arrange something local after it.

By the way, just because I'm trying to stay local, doesn't mean ALL Volvo members aren't invited, everyone is welcome!

Yes, Galway would be a bit out of reach for me this year at least.
I have to bring the 360GLS over to the mainland at the end of August
and that would crank up the miles.

There are even people out there who think I have special powers; that I can reach into the pm systems of other users and then publish the pm's! lol! It was nice to know you're concerned about the privacy of pm's during this paranoid episode, while notably selectively quoting the content of a pm from myself to yourself and then complaining that I 'broke the forum rules'. Apart from the fact that publishing pm's between two other people is impossible for someone else to do, your selective quoting of pm's, to the best of my understanding, is pretty close to a breach of forum rules.

In fairness if you lads are arranging a meeting, why don't you just get on with it? I have no idea why you're so interested in my OP which has nothing to do with any of the responders. You guys are meant to be car enthusiasts?
