Default New to Volvo - Saying hi

Hi All,

First time poster - long(ish) time lurker.

I picked up my first Volvo, a T5 S60 R-Design, at the end of May. Haven't seen much on the S60 on the forum thus far, so thought I'd post

After antagonising over colours, and swearing I would never own a black car again, I went for black after seeing it in person - stunning!

After a string of German motors, I am thoroughly enjoying the Volvo experience thus far.

Thoughts & comments welcome
Adrian

Looks beautiful.

What sort of fuel economy are you getting so far?

With just under 2000 miles on the clock all in comfort mode...
  • Around town lucky to get above 20mpg - which is expected imo
  • Open roads better between 34 to 39mpg

Slowly improving as time goes by, and hope it continues to!

Car looks really nice, a head turner. I bet you can't resist looking back at it every time you park it and walk away, I would.

Great looking car 👍
I’m about to take delivery of my first Volvo also in black (XC60) in November and really looking forward to driving it.

You hit the nail on the head - enjoy walking away from it as much as walking towards it. I find the rear 3/4 a great angle when the tail-lights are on

Amazing, hope you enjoy it! Out of the current SUV crop I think the XC60 is a very attractive package

Good luck keeping black clean though Last week I got the car coated (in Max Protect UNC-R) to help keep it looking slick

Great Car, think you might be the first S60 II owner to post on this forum...
