Default Check brake light warning after spoiler install

Hi all,

Has anyone had this "check brake light" message on the dash after tailgate spoiler install? All the lights work fine but a message is there. Car is an '07 V70 MKII.

Hello Slevin

Is this a genuine spoiler with built in LED brake light?

It's a while since I fitted one but from what I can remember, you swap the wiring from the high level light behind the glass to the one in the spoiler?

The high level brake light is powered separately from the other brake lights by it's own solid state relay and as far as I know being LED it doesn't have a sensor for bulb failure like the other brake lights.

Does the warning come on all the time or just when you brake?

Yes, it is an OEM part with the built in brakelight. Yes, at first I swapped them and I got the message as soon as the car is moving without touching the brake pedal.
I have wired them in paralell and the message is gone.
