Newbie in a quandry!! .... What to buy? Auto/Manual? 1.7/2.0?

Hi,

I am a brand new member who is desperately trying to find a good solid 480.
I have been offered a really nice 2.0 litre M reg Auto with 95K on it.

I have never been a great fan of automatics but the price on this is good and the condition A1.

Can you advise me on plusses and minusses, economy, etc.

I have also been offered a 480 S version in good nick at very little money.

Is the S version a good idea?

i believe earlier cars are more prone to problems with the electrics (and, it seems, rust..). a later car imo looks better too, with the clear indicators etc. my personal pick of hte bunch is the late 480 gt, lovely wheels.. you should be able to pick one up for under a grand..
