Gatos's files open fine for me. Happy to email them somewhere if need be.

Hi everyone, broke my drivers side handle too...so I decided to repair it myself via superglue and piece of nail, anyways- handle is repaired but now Im stuck at getting it back together ...have no clue how it goes back in as there is no free space left due to backing plate and lock drum, besides that, even if I will squeeze it in place I dont see any posibility to attach vertical rod to my repaired handle as there's no space for anything nevertheless my fingers, and I already disconnected 2nd vertical rod which goes between lock drum and lock itself and again Im clueless how to reattach them.

Will be grateful for schematics of driver side door with lock to rod attachment pictures as thets my main concern-not being able to assemble everything back in working condition.
Not rly concerned about fitting repaired exterior part back in, as im sure its just matter of trial and error

As I recall (and I may be wrong) you want to attach the rod to the handle first before inserting in the door. Then you direct the rod downwards as you place the lever in the opening. Re-attach the lever by fastening the two screws back in place. Then (by using feel/going blind) you push the rod sideways towards the rear until it locks into the little snap. If you feel around with your hand you should be able to find the snap-piece somewhere down there. I'm not sure that helps you...

Yep, just as Pierre says. Of course, if you are like me, you will have the rod attached the wrong way round, the first time...

It’s pretty tight in there and there are two rods to fit down through the same narrow space.

I found it a bit of a pfaff and there seems to be no clear way to slot the handle and lock assembly back in cleanly each time, it’s a matter of fiddling about until it suddenly, somehow just slips in!
