V40 Cruise Control

Hoping you peeps can provide some incite on the V40 for me.

I've been a 2.0D C30 owner for 2 1/2 years and love it. Just casually looking for my next car and I'm considering the V40 as my next choice as I had one a loan car while mine was in for a service (That's how they get you!). However most of the ones I've found thus far have a "limiter" rather than cruise control. I've seen the cruise control on a few in conjunction with the limiter but this only seems to be on the higher spec trims. Is cruise control something Volvo has dropped on the lower marques in favour of the limiter?

Is there a specific trim level of V40 I should look for if I want the cruise? I only ask as I've used a limiter on a Mercedes on a works fleet car and hated it.

Any help is much appreciated.

The speed limiter is standard but the SE and SE Lux and R Design Lux also have cruise control as standard. Not sure about the latest Momentum and Inscription models although I would imagine the Inscription being the top of the range would have cruise control.

You may find a car that has had cruise control added as an option, I have a V40ES which came with loads of options including cruise control.

For MY16 V40 cruise control was standard on SE, SE Lux, R Design Lux, Cross Country SE and Lux. Don't know other model years.
There is also adaptive cruise control which is much better. This came with the driver's support pack.

My 2013 D2 has both the speed limiter and cruise control which I find very useful. I use the speed limiter on 50 mph sections of motorway and the cruise control when the motorway is quiet. Mine is not a high spec so maybe they were an add on from new.
