Hi all,
after 181k miles I think my front shocks are knocking v40 2.0 lpt 2002 (don't they make things to last anymore!) just wondered what make of shocks you people fit, nothing fancy just good quality, I will also replace the strut tops at the same time,

thanks for any reply's

I've got Bilstein B4's all round on mine with genuine Volvo topmounts. The Bilsteins do give a stiffer ride than standard although they are supposed to be OEM spec ride quality. Volvo fit Monroe shocks as standard, but I have never got on with Monroe replacements on other cars I have had hence going for the Bilsteins.
