Default Aux belt chirp/jumping

Hi guys

I recently had the auxiliary belt start to chirp and have a little bit of belt jumping. Had the auxiliary belt, tensioners and alternator pulley changed about 3k ago due to same issue was all quiet but now issue seems to be coming back. What else on the drive belt system usually causes issues ?

Thanks

If it's chirping there is something wrong. Take it off and check.

Agree totally with the above, if the aux belt lets go for any reason that usually takes out the timing belt as well. This scenario is the most common reason for Xc90s being scrapped.

We recovered our XC70 to the garage on the Indy's advice when this happened to us - as he said, it probably will be OK, but there again it might not, so I didn't take the chance. Just a thought.

30667878 is the Volvo part number.
What was the INA part number used?

Has the AC pulley and bearing been checked?

When the tensioner is shaking it means a pulley isn't smooth any long - could be any pulley on the belt. Plus, chirping means a pulley is about to seize and snap the belt. If yours is a diesel, the belt it will curl around the crank pulley and ruin the engine, so kind of urgent. Just remove the belt and test every single pulley on the belt by hand - including as mentioned above the air conditioning compressor pulley, this one commonly goes bad after 100k miles.

That said, if the noise is exactly the same as before repair, I'd have a bit of suspicion on the garage itself.
