swap seats
I really fancy treating myself to some leather electric front seats.
Can it be done? Have a 2010 Active so its the mixed material and faux leather? manual adjustments Any one any idea where I could get some? I have vida dice so can I adjust/setup/add electric seats into the system? I would even like to investigate buying new from a stealer... Trawled ebay and Preloved, seems xc90 2010 version are like rocking horse s**t. Maybe it just goes to show how good the cars are in that not many are damaged irreparably and then broken up? I'll just keep looking I suppose

I've not contemplated this but thinking on my feet I think your biggest challenges will be the electricals....
i.e. airbags in the seats and the guts that operate the memory seats - remember they adjust the door mirrors also and (on some cars) are linked to which key you use I went to look at a Freelander 2 this weeks (next project car) and noticed they have Volvo seat controls!

You need to check if you have the wiring loom for electric seats fitted. If not, you need to add that loom
Then swapping the seats should be straight forward, including the airbags and the seatbelt tensioners (the new seat will have to have them fitted) I am not sure but you MAY need to update the vehicle configuration to record that electric seats are now fitted to the car so that all the control and diagnostic systems properly interact with the seats. And I am not sure if that is a retrofittable software option....

Hi mate, there are two fuses to fit in fuse boxes, not sure of numbers, and the drivers one deff works. I put a manual adjust passenger seat in none heated as i don't think you can get the heaters working. You also need to get seats out of a face lift model as they have air bags in the seats like yours do. Disconect the battery and wait ten mins before disconecting the seats. Dave

All i need to do now is find some nice leather seats :-) Actually I dont mind if they are manual but I suppose the leather versions being a higher spec were nearly all electric?

I had a 2010 active, bought leather seats out of 2012 model, fairly straight forward change, make sure you get the control module which operates the electric seat(s), mine came without, but found one on e bay for £15, there are two fuses required to operate the seats, drivers was electric only on mine, impossible to get heated seats working as Volvo say if not fitted when built unable to add on.

I think the S version has electric driver and manual passenger. Might be wise to not buy heated as circuit wise might not let the movement work. Dave

You need to fit a 25 amp fuse in position 3 in fuse board and a 10 amp in position 3 in the cem mate. Dave
