I keep my Peugeot in one half and the other half is filled with work benches general tools and garden equipment etc.
I still would not choose to put my daily driver away every day because in my opinion the worst thing you can do is put a wet car away in a garage.
Far better to let the air dry your car out.
My Peugeot is usually only used on dry days, so is always dry when put away. It also has the benefit of a dehumidifier.
Agreed on last point.

My brother was a Peugeot service manager for many years - we loved the 407 like yours. Sadly my second car is a 206 - 13.5 years old and less than 40k miles, was my mums and then bought for my son. Now my station car. Only a 1.1 sadly not a GTi....

I too have a double garage with two side-by-side single doors. With the mirrors folded there's a gap of a few cms either side. Having done it several (okay, many) times now I can reverse in fairly easily. What's made it much easier is getting a couple of packs of stick-on mirrors from Ikea and fixing them to the back wall. Using the interior mirror and looking at them I can line up the car fairly accurately. Lining it up well is crucial to a successful entry at the first attempt (oh, matron!).

I used to forward park the Merc (same size as XC90) in the other half of the garage but reversing parking the XC90 with the mirrors on the back wall is actually easier.
