mute nav announcements?

think the answer's "no", but on the MY17 Sensus Connect, can I mute nav announcements if I already know the turn and would rather listen to radio?
can't find it in the manual...

press the Nav button whilst in the Nav screen, scroll to the bottom of the menu and select the choice at the bottom of the list

Alternatively, mute the radio while the nav is speaking. The difficulty with doing it this way is trying to judge when the nav would have been talking to switch it back on again.

don't want to mute the radio - got that set to lower volume while nav is talking. But sometimes, I KNOW where I'm going, and the nav announcement is maybe "Take the second exit off the roundabout, onto the the A507" , and few secnds later "exit the roundabout"- which I know to do. But the news has just got to an interesting bit! And I've missed it, because the bl**dy nav was blathering about something I already knew blindfold. Or "Keep to the right in one mile, onto the M2". Just when they get to an interesting interview?
You know you know a route backwards, but there are accidents, closures etc and if you get an early alert you can divert. That's when it gets really annoying....On my Seat I could press the volume wheel if a nav announcement came on, and it would mute it, leaving the radio/USB whatever.
Don't think the volvo does....

It doesn't mute the radio, only the nav.when the nav is speaking.

I always seem to time the most interesting/critical part of the Radio 4 transmission just as i get the "speed camera" bing-bong on my way to work.

In my MY15 V60 I have found that a Sensus Sat Nav announcement can be stopped by pressing the exit button on the steering wheel.
The exit button only stops the current announcement and subsequent announcements are made as normal.
The exit button becomes second nature pretty quickly and I can cancel a Sat Nav announcement without losing anything significant from an interview or news story.

Ignore me. I'm sure this used to work for me, but trying it again this morning I discovered I was taking carp!

For me I just press the # key and it mutes sat nav voice announcements. Press it again to turn them back on.
