Default How to assemble dook lock knob/grommet?

Hello.

I removed the internal door pannel and by mistake I pulled out the door lock knob/grommet. Now I have no idea how to put it back on, since the lock is hidden inside the door and I really don't want to take apart the whole door with window attached to it.

Any tips on how can I put it back?
Attached are the pictures of it.

yes you will have to take the glass out and the outer door handle ,disconnect the wiring plug, and take out the complete inner door panel in one piece with everything mounted to it .. then refit the rod and assemble ..
not an easy job if you have not done it before .

Pop the two rubber bungs on the inner skin, lower the window until you see the nylon lifting mech. the window is attached to. Push the two lugs holding the glass in place (two holes in the glass) whilst lifting the window simultaneously. When released, lift the window all the way to the top and masking tape it to hold it there. Pull the rubber plug from the end of the door to reveal the Torq screw holding the door handle stop. Release this screw (not all the way otherwise it falls out) which will allow the stationary part of the outer door handle to come off. Once off this will then allow the door handle to be removed. There’s a screw behind it, take this out. Then remove the 3 screw holding the steel door latch itself. You can then remove the bolts on the inner panel to release it. It a bit of a jiggle to clear the window runners from the inner steel door skin and then you can refit the door button actuator arm.
