Cambridgeshire
I'm seriously considering, if approved by VOC and if enough interest to try and do 1st meet in Cambridgeshire? Anyone would actually be interested?

I'd also be interested - i used to go to a monthly Rover meet at The British Queen pub in Melbourne, Cambs before the Kung Flu struck and made us all hermits.
Can't always make the journey but when i can i enjoy relaxed meets where we can meet and put faces to screen names, have a chat, bite to eat and something to drink (just because it's a pub, you don't have to drink alcohol), swap ideas for fixing problems, modifications/improvements and so on. There are many "car-club friendly" pubs, especially those who also do food, makes it a good day out - a nice drive through varying countryside, meet at the pub, have a good time then another nice drive home. A lot of cafes and similar tend to shut at weekends after the lunch time rush, many pubs stay open so are more flexible in that respect. The format for the meets i used to attend was it started at 2pm on the first saturday of the month, the pub stopped serving food at 2pm so if you wanted to eat, arrive early and have a feed but most people turned up around 2 ish, no restrictions on who came - some weren't even owners, just enthusiasts. If there's anything useful in that format feel free to use it, i only mentioned it as it might help with ideas for venues/formats etc. Please keep us all posted about what's happening as and when, Covid permitting we should be able to get something going!
