2023 xc40 B3 Power Steering issue

Hello - received our brand new XC40 B3 Plus a week ago. One thing I have loved is the loose steering - especially as I have tennis and golfers elbows. Very pleasant to drive. For its first long journey (2 hours), it was perfect. The next day though, it started perfectly but after stopping off at the shops, then continuing with the 2 hour journey back, the steering wheel had more resistance to it.

It’s still ‘light’ at lower speeds and heavier at higher speeds, but to me it’s very different than before. Tyres are fine, I haven’t selected the ‘heavier steering’ option in settings.

I’m not sure if this makes a difference, but I had more stuff in the boot (a gas canister, for example) and two people in the back. But it’s still acting this way despite no more heavier items or additional people.

Is this normal? It sounds small but I really really enjoyed how it was before.
