Default Towing Mirrors suitable for Automatically Folding Mirrors

I have always used rubber band mounting caravan towing mirrors with my V70 T5

However I now have an 07 D5 on which the mirrors automatically fold in when the car is locked. I do not thing the rubber band mounting will work with this arrangement and I don't want to have to take them off every time I stop and want to lock the car.

Anyone got a comment or a suggestion for a different type of caravan towing mirror mounting?

Smile Towing mirrors

I use rubber strap towing mirrors on XC90 with folding mirrors. I have not found any problems, in fact it has been a bonus to be able to leave the towing mirrors in place when on site or tight areas etc and fold them in out of the way without removing them.
My mirrors are not auto folding they are switch control folding. I assume that this makes little difference but obviously you need to check that your type of towing mirrors do not foul the car or folding mechanism when fitted.

You could always turn off the automatic folding whilst the towing mirrors are fitted?

It's there in the menus on the radio, the manual will show you too.

(Assuming a new V70 on an 07)
