Default volvo amazon... suspension...?

Hi, I have just joined the forum and need a little help I have recently purchased a 1966 volvo 122s (amazon) and I wanted to lower the car a little bit. I was looking on classicswede and they have a range of springs that you can use but I was just wondering what is the recommended drop 40mm, 60mm or the massive 90mm drop any info or pictures of cars lowered by these amounts would be appreciated many thanks, oscar.

It's a frequently discussed topic, try the search, this is the most recent one http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=216957

Then search for dampers, bushes, etc

ok i tend to use the lowering springs and shocks from classsicswede

http://www.classicswede.co.uk/120__a...5_1623655.aspx

they have been tested time and time again springs all fit and work as they should in a nice blue color now the shocks are the adjsutable ones on the front and i use the kyb rally spec rear shocks

now the spec on the springs i find the best settings are 60mm lowered at the front with short dampers to suit and 40mm lowered at the rear with the kyb rally shocks i hope that helps

kind regards
robert

Hi,

I saw this post and the website classicswede with lot of springs and shocks for volvo 122S (amazon)....

I want to lower it about 60mm (front and rear).
Does the pack of Shocks (sort version) + Springs 60mm will turn the car too mutch hard? or it will mantain some confort?

Greatings from Portugal!

The 60mm kit is about the most popular kit. I've never had a complain saying is too hard but it does firm the car up from how they are in original form
