Considering sale: V50 SE Sport Value
Hi, I'm currently considering selling my V50 and would really appreciate some advice on prices I might expect for it as I work out how much I might have for a new car.
It's a 2005/55 Plate (Registered 22/Dec/2005) Volvo V50 SE Sport in Black metallic. It's a 2.0d, doesnt have DPF (Euro 4 I think?) done 79k miles and has been serviced either by dealer or Volvo specialist. Normal SE Sport spec, i.e. full leather, 18" Medusa alloys, cruise control, also has most optional extras including winter pack (heated seats, headlamp washers) family pack (child booster seats built in, power child locks) electric sunroof, electric memory drivers seat, parking sensors, boot shopping holder, auto dimming rear view mirror etc. I also have an S40 grill for it as well as original V50 grill and Thule roof bar foot pack (I'll probably keep my aero bars for my next car). Thanks guys! |

Unfortunately the second hand sellers market is just not very good at the moment and the price of cars is just real low.
At the end of a day a car is worth whatever someone else is prepared to pay for it. Ask what you you would like for the car but be prepared to be knocked down a bit. Good luck. |

It's not all doom and gloom, my 2005 54 plate 2.4i S with 59k on the clock was on the forecourt at £4474. I'd say your's is a more desirable spec and I saw loads much more expensive than 4k with normally about 100-130k on the clock. Hold out for what you want i say if its a tight motor you'll get bites.
(i didn't pay 4474 for mine, I straight swapped my 07 plate corsa 1.3cdti design for it, was very chuffed as pretty sure the engine was about to let go in a big way and cost me 4k hehe) |

Thanks for that, I had a look at Parkers, basic trade in was £5100 but that doesn't take into account all the optional extras, will need to pay to get an accurate valuation.
We buy any car, who always pay rock bottom quoted £4500 |

put it up for a fair price and keep ur fingers crossed... there's always an element of luck and no harm in dropping the price later if u need a sale.
