ontop... might look a bit stuck on after thought, i liked your behind the bezel for neatness, but if the light outputs not sufficient,
£68.09 inc vat for the drl=off , its a ponder,,, for that £ i might just not fuss with it and cross fingers the E46 units dont suffer the same as the volvo ones have with 60%dipped/drl on

My way is best for OEM look and still serves the purpose, but that plastic defract loo much light. Good thing is, you can test the halos yourself and experiment with it on your kitchen table. When your projector is out, just put the halo into headlamp and see how it looks when you put it behind beziel vs how it looks outside of lamp and you can decide. Also, experiment with distance from the beziel as closer you put halo to it, the less defracted light will be (but will look less unified). Find your sweet spot and voila For powering up halos on the table you only need small 12v power suppy, either something ready-to-go or if you have none - use PC PSU as I did. DRL Off - up to you, but price is defo reasonable :}

Just had a reply from retrofit labs, out of stock on the H7's but offering me D2S units instead,which is nice of them to advise and offer.
you havent had a word have you to get them to tempt me to the "light side" hehehe. 4weeks restocking then its "project h7 lights". I was the tempted as D2S do give the best light going, but mot and all that,, changing headlight units is easy enough but,,, H7 takes all / any worry out for me

tbh with the 4ish weeks wait, it is what it is, retrofit labs seem to have a good rep and i can wait,
like you i suspect they are all "MiC" and of about the same quality, having bought far more from china than the uk for a couple of hobbys alibabba isnt an unknown, ill stick with retrolabs , they appear to have decent customer contact (so far), so "if",, then there maybe chance to Telephone and talk rather than,,well the CS i have had from Some china vendors ,,, "customer Scare" more than service,,, But that listings photos have shown me what the bi-xenon filter thingy is , and the small electro magnet to twiddle (adjust) the shutter,, thats SO getting wired to the highbeams when they arrive and get fitted.

You will soon get used to hearing weird robotic "clank" when putting high beams on and you will learn to love it :} I get hat you say ref RFL, if you are not in panic - wait for reputable seller.

4weeks ish, Should put it firmly in the "its Brrrr cold" weather slot, perfect to headlights out , on the table in the warm and play , then 10mins (yeah right) to refit to the car.

Looking to improve the lights on my C30 (beams already adjusted up, lenses clean... just a bit weak).
Assuming I want to stick to stock (H7 halogens) am I able to just fit these projectors and go? Do I need to do anything with the shutter or can it just be left inoperative? |

the shutter, its up to you, to connect them use the High beam wires, a simple splice will do the job or not use them as Highbeams on these are Outstanding , it wont harm anything to Not connect it , or indeed to connect it,
