Car stood overnight and next morning fired up first time. So it could be flap sticking. Is there solution? Maybe untighten bolts little bit?

My car does the same, to cover all bases when I bought the car I changed the glowplugs and fuel filter just in case it was one of those and it's the same, so I believe it's the throttle body flap issue too. To be fair it doesn't bother me too much as it always fires up second time on the dot. There's a bunch of threads on how to sort it as it seems to be a common fault

If it is a throttle body flap, then on old (euro 3) models it can be filed down a bit. On newer (euro 4) model with 2 flaps my try to file it down was unsuccessful and had to buy new throttle body.

I have dual throttle body. Do I have to fill down both sides?

Mine started doing similar, two turns of key sometimes, other times fine. I thought leaky diesel leak off pipes, fuel filter, injector or flaps.

Turns out garage checked the starter motor as they thought it wasn't turning it over very quick. On close inspection it was sparking like mad. One recon starter later and it starts first time every time.

So worth checking.

Will look into it. But usually this problem appears when engine is hot/warm
