Default D5 leak off test

So, had a go at this today.

Engine up to temperature.

Idle for about 10 seconds I reckon.

What do you think?

No.1 is rougly 9.5
No.2 is 6
No.3 is 7
No. 4 is 11.5
No. is 7

Cheers

Starts fine, runs great. Chews fuel.. Has other issues which are in another thread concerning DPF and smoking....

You're not going to have a reliable result after 10 seconds so run the test for a minute on both a stone cold engine and when warmed up.

Better still, run the injector fuel correction test with Dice and Vida and not lift the bonnet at all.

Yeah, had to turn the engine off before it overflowed so not ideal.

I got the same results last time I did it in November.

Will see if my local volvo specialist can do it with their VIDA.

Thanks for the pointers

Just use longer hoses going into old drinks bottles.

You can make your own reusable leak back kit for about £5 so I wouldn't pay someone else to do it.

I have a kit (cheap Chinese job) that has pipes and bottles, just chose to do it with what you see in the picture as I thought it would be very precise.

I shall have a longer go with the bottles.

Thanks

Si
