S60 2005 D5 battery spec

Hello,

Does anyone know what the standard ah and cca battery that goes in the 2.4 diesel?

Currently the car takes a while to turn over and start - looks like the battery is going as it drops to under 11v when cranking the engine

95 ah 800 cca

As above.
Varta/Bosch/Yuasa are the best. Volvo are great too, and Exide.

the above advice is good as its higher than spec.

the book actually says 80/700 for diesel

I have 95/800 volvo battery on mine, new 2 years ago (I bought car last may, or Id have got Varta) starts fine but not enthusiastically, would not want any less cca! The Yuasa top-end battery has 900cca!

Btw www.tayna.co.uk cannot recommend highly enough.

Put a yuasa 900CCA on my v70 a few weeks ago as the old one expired. Spins over really quickly now. Cots about £130 from Halfords.

Thanks for the replies! The battery is struggling to start the car most mornings now.

Out of the following, what would you recommend?

Exide - 80ah/700CCA £67

Exide - 85ah/800cca £78

Yuasa - 95ah/850cca £89

Yuasa - 100ah/900cca £106

Either of the Yuasa. Exide are good, when theyre good, but have a higher percentage of faulty batts. If budget is king the bigger exide should be ok, but for a tenner more, get the Yuasa, its a different league. The smaller yuasa will be more than adequate.
