Forgot to include recent OEM fuel pressure regulator replaced.
Obiviously I'm slightly biased, but seriously this car is a very good buy. It was my office commute car, but after 9 months of forced working from home due to pandemic I decided to quit the office job entirely and go full time as an independent mechanic (FCW Auto Service). I have my V70 D5 as my economy car, so the T5 doesnt really have a purpose for me anymore, other than taking it out for a luxury blast. Engine wise, almost everything that wears out has been replaced, so the car absolutely flies and feels significantly faster than my V70 D5. So if it's performance you are after, this is definitely one to go for. Last edited by T5R92011; Jan 18th, 2021 at 16:07. |

I'm going to put a replacement rear lamp unit on the car.... I had one guy today insistent on picking up the car, but the second I mentioned the LED Brake light not working on one side, he immediately wasnt interested and seemed to think he'd have to pay hundreds and hundreds of pounds for a replacement despite me pointing out they're £35-£40 on ebay for a working 2nd hand unit. I'll fit one of those and take the hit.
This is the annoyance with integrated LEDs though... this issue will soon affect almost every modern car when they get to a certain age. Fortunately in this S40 the LED brake light setup is extremely basic, so replacement units are cheap, but I cringe at the thought of having to replace those full intelligent LED setups you see on the rear of Audi's etc. |
