Default VOLVO C30 2013 R design. Door harness removal

Hello,

I'm working in my new project. It is a Volvo C30 2013 R design. The project is about sound system in my car.

Since I'm in Mexico and there is not a big market of Volvos, I decided to look in the internet some doubts that I have related to disassembly some parts.

As I'm planning to install new speakers in the doors I need to pass a new speaker cable thru the door harness (Best recommendation is that the cable must go inside the door grommet). To follow the correct procedure I need to unplug the door harness connector and it is done. The thing that I don't know how to do is how to unplug the connector that is inside the door.

Attached is the picture of the connector I need to remove.

Is there anyone that know how to remove it, your support is really appreciated.

p.d. I'll be sharing pictures for all the process.

There is a furthur locking mechanism on the inside of the door which needs lifting up and then the two lugs will squeeze in allowing the socket to go through the hole. Had to do it before christmas as I had mine unplugged as per your picture and accidentally shut the door which hit the plug part and it knocked mine through. Only way to get to it is take door panel off.

Hello,

I took a picture from inside of the door and I see it has like a locking mechanism, is this the one that I need to lift up?

Can you tell me where I need to press or lift?

Thanks for your support.

From memory I believe you slide the two side lugs up on the part inside the door then squeeze the two on the outside of the door and the socket should push through into the door.
