V60 D6 AWD Hybrid - cam belt cost
This is not debate about cambelt interval - more to do with cost expectation of the 108k /10 yer cambelt maintenance for the hybrid version - a 2015 D6. Am being told it will be in excess of 1k due to the fact that it is more complicated than a straight diesel. Anyone have any experience of this?

crikey, I hope not - I'd just decided to keep it forever as well. Although I guess £1K to keep it safe is cheaper than a new car !!

Who told you, and did you ask for detailed itemised quote and an explanation?

My car is the D6 MY14.
I've got this coming up soon. Maybe the year after this one. I'd like to know the right price. Was quoted £1500 or so from what I member (Volvo North London) when the car was 6 years old. After a bit of research I decided not to go ahead with it as it's not done 108k miles yet. |

It is a 7 year service plus cam belt. It is everything, all filters belts etc etc Interval on a D6 is 108K or 10 years confirmed to me by Volvo UK and Supplying Dealer. |

Hi guys, I hope you don't mind me reviving this thread? I have just bought a D6 Hybrid. Love it! Called Volvo to get a service and check over done. They said the 'system' is recommending a Cambelt change 'We strongly advice you do it'. The car has done 66k miles. Nothing like the 108k you guys were talking about.
What do you think? Is 100k miles the typical break point? Cheers! |
