Go here and read:

The "best" answer was buying a new "hide assembly" from Volvo.

Months before I read the thread I took my seat out and brought it to a reupholstery shop. They did a perfect job but the Volvo parts might have been cheaper. You needn't fret because Teterboro is 3,335 mi. from you.

I too have a problem with my fabric drivers seat cushion. the seams coming apart- I have established that the passenger seat cushion is interchangeable with the drivers. And the upholstery code for your car is on the identification plate in the engine bay.
I need a seat cushion- Oak code A480

I had a similar problem. The main seam on the seat bottom ripped open. Visited my local wreckyard and pulled out a seat and took the leather base off it. Didn’t take too long and it’s a bit fidly but it’s a cheap option. To reinstall you will need hognose pliers and clips or just a few zip ties. Robert on YouTube has a video showing some of this.
