Thirtiest Saab I owned was also one of the best, base spec steel wheeled two door turbo intercooler 8v with keep fit windows and a big steel sunroof. One owner low mileage car bought for about 200quid if I recall, on maybe an 86 c plate. Wow it was quick in mid range. LOADS of torque, but singularly incapable of returning anything over 2mpg. Also owned embassy blue 16v n/a auto which was one of the best driving, but similar thirst. Think I had about seven or eight c900
