HU-803 display difficult to rear in daylight
A pretty minor issue, but an annoying one.
I've recently started to notice my headunit difficult to read in daylight. I thought it was just in direct sunlight on the screen, but it seems to be any bright day. Easy to see at night, so doesn't appear to be a backlighting issue. Anyone experienced the same ? 2002 S60 D5. |

There's a light sensor at the back of the rear view mirror and I'm pretty sure there's one on the front of the head unit so to begin with, make sure they're both clean and unobscured.

I think your spot on with the sensor on the back of the mirror.
The display was brighter at first this morning, so I covered the mirror sensor and the display went dark again. Sadly removing my hand again does not allow the display to return to normal. Sensor looks ok and nothing obscuring it. Not sure I want to be messing around with a replacement mirror and swapping the UEM over 6 weeks before my mot. Think I'll concentrate on bits needed for that first. Cheers. |
