At risk of being slightly OT, is Polestar available for the T8? And does anyone have experience of it?

(T8 due Jan 2019)

Think I paid 630. Didn’t really notice any difference.

Polestar is available for the T8 as far as I am aware. I do not have any experience with it though.

I had the same question regarding HP with my insurer (Admiral). However, brilliantly, due to their system the last digit wasn't showing up on the call handler's screen - so my vehicle is registered as 25x HP.
In my case I had Polestar as an upgrade after purchase so decided (on advice on the forum) to advise insurer proactively, but I didn't finish the call with great confidence that they really understood what was going on. I actually got a £4-£5 rebate on the insurance for a start.
As an aside I also had an argument about administration fees for notifying them of the change and they eventually agreed to waive this (also got them to agree not to charge admin fee if/when I change to winter tyres).

Regarding Polestar optimisation, do the gearbox improvementes work in all driving modes? Or just when you are in DYNAMIC? I've read that AWD enhancements work only on DYNAMIC (and perhaps with ESP switched off), but I'm unsure about gearbox, which is probably the most interesting feature of Polestar.

Have it on mine.

Never had it without it so hard to tell you the difference I'm afraid.

Mine's a MY19 car so it adds less than to the MY18 cars.

Apart from the badge on the boot and Polestar telling me its loaded against my VIN I have no real idea its there !! lol
