Just remember, if refitting part worn winter/summer tyres, fit the best ones at the rear.
My tyre fitter always checks the tread depth first.
No matter if it is FWD/AWD, one can loose control of the rear.
You need the best on the rear of the car.

OP sound like all season tyres with decent winter capability (Quatrac) would more than meet your needs with minimal hassle.

I've been looking for decent all season tyres for V60 standard size 215/50/17 and there are very few - no Quatrac3.

Falken AS200 looks about the best bet I think

Bit late to this but I would have gone for Hankook Optimo 4S in a V rating which means you could also drive in Italy in the summer with them if you should find yourself heading that way and only want one set of tyres on the car all year round.

In the end I went with Nokians. Couple of reasons, first they appear to be proper winter tyres rather than a compromise, and given where my work will take me all winter the chances of me hitting rubbish conditions is pretty much a dead cert. Second, they are one of the standard Volvo options, so might as well stick with what the manufacturer recommends.

I know these things are rarely actual RRP, but they were discounted from £150-odd to £80-odd which didn't hurt either.

I've had Nokian's on my previous car for the past couple of years in the winter and they were fantastic in the snow, the only thing that stopped the car was the depth

Just fitted some to the V60 onto some MAK Gothenburg alloys

The standard Volvo 64mm centre caps fit too

Do those wheels fit straight onto the hub or do they have spigot rings fitted oldn07?

They are a straight fit

Had them from here: http://www.tyreleader.co.uk/alloy-wh...1205?car=10248

Took about a week all in from Germany, the cheapest I found locally were over £30 a corner more expensive

Edit:

Looking at the 360 pictures on the MAK web site, they may have come with one pre fitted

Thanks for posting back, it does look like there is something in there.

No big deal, my winter wheels have had plastic ones for the last 8 years. Think it might be time to renew them.

That wheel looks very similar to the Ixion just more shallow around the bolt holes.
