S40: - My car has strange sound when I change gear

I also have a problem with my car, volvo s40 T5, year 2005 recently. After a driving for about an half of hour, my car had a sound "crack" after brake, and the car accelarated after several seconds with strong power. I live in Mexico, the factory(not volvo) told me that I should change 3 solenoidese of valve, it that right? It will cost me 500 usa dolares. I will drive to Texas next week for 10 hours. Is it necesary to change them before I go or I can do it after arriving to Texas with a Volvo factory there? If somebody can answer me, I will appreciate him a lot. Thank you!
