Kenny - do you have the DPF "modification" sticker under the bonnet? This one:



Silly bodge by Volvo - they should have issued new dipsticks.

However it gives the new recommended oil level on GEN3 cars. I had the same fault.

I did drop out half-a-litre of oil, but took it back to the dealer for the "service required" message to be switched off. Oil level was at the "max" mark on the distick, but the diagnostics said the oil was 133% full. Been fine ever since.

Hi, yes i have the sticker, the level has been at 3/4 as per the sticker since i bought the car in june, it had risen to just over the 3/4 mark.
I have taken it down to halfway, hopefully it should reset if not i will meet up with Yosser to reset it.

Well it has reset itself after 3 days and about 50 miles. Happy days.
