Default Volvo v40 T4 2002 turbo tuning

Hey!

Can I physically tune up turbo?
I mean, most I do the pressure rod longer or shorter, to get more power?

Thank you!

The car can be tuned but it’s mainly mapping that makes the big difference you could throw all sorts of mods at it but ultimately you will not get the benefit without the correct mapping

You can shorten the actuator rod which will give you more boost, I wouldn't advise any more than 1 and a half turns though, 2 as an absolute maximum, I've done 2 turns on mine and get 18psi on full boost, it does begin to tail off over 4000rpm though, as I'm probably right on the limit of the wastegate cracking pressure, that or the turbo is running out of puff at that rpm, does go like a rocket though.
