I know you said you didn't want to take up boot space but here are a couple of options:
http://www.rallycodriver.co.uk/compcars23-f1.htm http://www.motorsport-tools.com/inde...ex&cPath=17664 http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgur...w=1646&bih=858 It's a good idea to move the fuel tank as the original location isn't the best to put it nicely so to move it to the front of the boot space is a safer spot for it. You could remove the fuel tank and use that space to add a spare wheel well. Just a couple of ideas for you. |

Another possible alternative is that maybe the Miata tank set-up could be retroffited: http://www.diyelectriccar.com/forums...-nz-38317.html
Also check out the seat belt set-up in the pics. They would be a nice addition. |

I'm sorry, but it needs to be said:
What you're doing to the P1800 is nothing short of butchery! You should be ashamed of yourself. Why don't you go hack up some crappy American tin and leave the quality European classics to people who appreciate them for what they are! 'Nuff said!!! T

It's his car, there's no need to be offensive.
Personally, I think it's fascinating, thanks for sharing.

just crack on!
I think you along with a couple of others on here have some really unique ideas for the 1800. Im really interested how they pan out and so far all looks good. Ignore the luddites; Ive seen them at the shows with the flat cap, beard, pipe and lots of opinions Ref the bumpers how about some ultra thin one. s that have the basic shape but only half as deep. Just quarters may look good as well on the front. Russ |

+ 1 from me too! I think this is a great build... Keep it up. These cars are fabulous for customizing/rodding.
Hows your build coming along, Mitch? |

It's coming along okay. Just fixing the scuttle/windscreen aperture at the moment. I'll post some pics after the weekend as it has some relevance to how the p1800 can rust etc.
