700/900/200 series parts must go, too many to list.
Hi to all in 'Volvoland',
Being a VOC member and after owning around 10 different Volvos over 25 years, I have a garage full of new and used parts, but due to worsening ill health I'm no longer able to DIY very often, so it must all go so that the property can be modified. I have parts for 700/900/V90 series, some 240 parts also. All the used parts are in good useable condition, as I saw no point in keeping rubbish. I'm not looking for 'silly' prices, but wish the parts to go to other enthusiasts who will make good use of them at a sensible cost. It's all far too good to scrap. For example, there are OS & NS 960 headlamps with side and indicator lights complete with wiper motors and arms, 700 and 900 series rear light clusters and even a full set of cam followers to suit either a 960, V90 or 850 that have done less than 500 miles. Air mass meters, brass radiators, fuel pumps, shocks and numerous radios with codes, relays, 2.4litre reconditioned cylinder head, air-con compressors, starters, hoses, trim, badges, carpets, seat heater elements etc. etc. It would take me far too long to list absolutely everything I have, so just PM me directly with your wants and I'll contact you asap. No sensible offer will be refused. You may also leave your request on this thread as I will be checking in during the coming days. Collection from the Guildford Surrey area is possible as some items would cost an arm and leg to send by post or courier. I also have over 100 Haynes manuals for numerous makes including Volvo and some genuine Volvo workshop 'manuals' for 700/900 series. I am hoping to clear it all within a few weeks, so if there is someone out there that would like to view it all and make me an offer for everything, please do get in touch. Here's hoping that someone out there will want something before the local scrapyard or council tip starts to beckon!! Cheers, Bob. |

I don't believe it!!!!
I'm sorry folks, but it would seem that despite contributing to well over the required 30 posts since joining the forum many years ago, I am unable to reply directly to any PM sent to me. If those of you that have tried to PM me, do so again and give me a name and phone number, (land-line preferred) I will call you asap.
Cheers, Bob. |

Sorry to hear about your reason for the clearout Bob, certainly hope things improve, but a clearout never harmed anyone anyway. I tried to PM you but sadly not had enough posts to do so. Hope you can help , it's just a little thing- today the glass fell out of my drivers side electric door mirror on my 1990 740 SE Esate. Wouldn't have such a thing to fit would you? Full unit would do if cannot seperate. Postable to Manchester? Thanks Mike.
PS. If poss will try to work out sending you e mail or phone No other than these pages - should post more I guess..but so little goes wrong in the small amount of mileage I do I admit I'm a bit of a stranger until somthing like this happens. Thanks |

Door mirror glass
Sorry, but a mirror glass is one thing I don't have. May I suggest trying Nordic in Byfleet Surrey for a new one. I did buy a heated glass for a V70 from them and it was less than half the Volvo price, easily fitted and worked perfectly,so no grumbles.
I may have a pair of complete mirrors, but from an '89 740 estate so not sure if they would fit yours. Maybe you could check with your local Volvo dealer before deciding to buy. |

Hi Bob,
Sorry to hear about your poor health I may be interested in a few bits and bobs, but would need posting to Manchester. For now, let's say headlights, front indicators and rear clusters all for a facelift 960, presumably unfaded... As mine are!! Oh, if you have any manuals for the d24 tic diesel engine as fitted to the 940, that would be great! Many thanks, Steve

Headlamps
Hi Steve,
Most 960 body parts I have are for a pre facelift model. Although most mechanical parts are interchangeable, the headlamps aren't, sorry! Have some rear clusters that will fit but have orange indicator lenses. I fitted some to my last V90 and they looked OK. Cheers, Bob. Last edited by Another Volvonut; Aug 15th, 2012 at 20:18. Ok Bob, not to worry.
Just thought I'd chance my luck! It would be the red/clear lenses I would be after. Many thanks and the best of luck selling your collection and your health. Steve

Hiya Bob,
I'm reasonably local to you, and while I don't need anything in particular, I'm always up for a look at these kind of parts hoards! If I find something I might need for my 240 I'll buy it, and if not I could always take some pictures for you and post them up here to help you sell the rest. Would it be possible for me to come over and have a look sometime in the next few days? I'm free until 2pm on Saturday and Monday and free all day Sunday, then I'm on holiday until the 28th.

Hi Bob,
Long shot I'd say but have you any of the 'fittings' required to install a rear parcel shalf/laod cover for a 740 (presume 940 would be the same)? Items need to connect to the trim behind the rear seats and the hooks on the 'C' pillars to hook the extended cover onto. Also thumb/locking screws...hope that's clear!
