Default Rear top mount given up, are there different types???

Hi all, I heard a clonk earlier, and the shock top has pushed its way through the rubber of one of the mounts, it's bouncy as hell to drive, but no matter, as I have my old standard suspension which I can cannibalise for the mounts, however, my mounts look like the first 2 photos, and my old mounts look like the final picture, are there different ones??

I am also worried that I didn't build the strut up correctly as now I look at it (and compare it with other pictures online) I do seem to have a very long amount of thread sticking through on mine, maybe I missed something out somewhere, although I didn't have any bits left over, odd.

It's alright, I'm just a collosal idiot, when I got my new shocks I simply fitted the spring and the topmount to it just as it came out of the box, and failed to remove the what I thought was just a dust cover from the old shocks and fit it to the new ones, which is of course not just a dust cover at all, as it houses the bump stop, and crucially has a whacking great metal washer on the top of it, which seats up against the small stop on the shock, so then the small stop isn't resting solely on the metal insert in the top mount, because without it it pushes said insert out leaving a shock top dangling in mid air, as I've just found, what a complete boob.

Ordered these top mounts from a local motor factor, back in 2015 I think it was, and was presented with a kit comprising of 2 pieces of metal and 2 O-rings (Firstline or something like that) so, given the old genuine Volvo mounts have the rubber bush molded into and around the metal cage/casing I went to Volvo and ordered the correct replacement. I don't have the part number to hand but will find it if needs be...?
