Another xc90

Was looking at another xc90 to buy on Monday. It drove well and was true in a line. Body very good and engine and box. But I do t want any gearbox issues as my Last one did flare a bit. Is it safe to say that most owners don't experience gearbox woes or is as common as ever?

I think on the d5 you will be unlucky to have problems if you check it

A flare is the last thing you want. I'd look elsewhere. A small 'bump' or kick when changing gears is not the worse, but flare is not good. In some cases it's just very old oil, but other times it's a transmission about to go

Always test the car fully warmed as transmission problems are hidden with cold transmission fluid
