Default How do you remove the horns?

Do you really have to remove the whole bumper or is it not accessible by just removing the grill?

My thread may be helpful -

How to remove facelift grill

As you can see below, the horns are visible so you may be able to remove them. Not 100% though.

Of course it is, who told you oit wasnt?
take grille out, 2x M10 bolts and both horns are out :}
EDIT - just to clarify, thats on pre-FL, I am 100% sure as I did replace both this way. Not sure if FL is different.

just take off the front bumper cover it's quite easy , taking the grille out is not as easy and you may break off some of the securing tags ...

not being funny here but how is it possible? I can remove grille in about 5 seconds using butter knife, is the front bumper really that easy to come of?? (geniune question, always dreaded any jobs requiring bumper to go off as I was afraid it wont ever fit again or snap mounts)

the 5 or 6 screws each side at the front of the wheel arch , headlamps out ( 10 seconds per side ) and the row of clips across the top . and 3 clips along the bottom underneath . Good for you if you can get the grille out easily , but can you get at the horn screws ?
The bumper cover is made of very good quality plastic which is softer than other lesser makes so will not break .

on pre-FL bolts for horns are visible with grille off, yes. I replaced both horns that way no problem. Maybe FL grille is harder to get out, but on mine its seriously knife in strategic place, pull and done. 1st time takes a bit of roaming around, later when you know how to do it - piece of cake.

im just afraid of bumper work. dunno why

Front Bumper removal (and re-attachment) is very easy on these cars. I guess a big part of that is because the headlights come out easily, so within less than a minute you can see exactly how the bumper is clipped to the upper portion of the bumper.

No need to remove headlights, when removing the bumper. I have removed mine 3 times during the last week. Removing the bumper takes only minutes after you have done it the first time and learned the process.
