Default Near Side Window not always raising

Volvo V 70 2009 Diesel D 5 .... and the problem is .... intermittently..... when front N/s window is open :

1. Using key fob to close all windows ... N/S front window raises to about half way up ..stops .. then returns to open.... all others close.
2. Using window switch on N/s front door .... window raises to about half way up ..stops .. then returns to open.
3. Using window switch for N/s front window on O/s Door ( drivers) .. works OK.

All other windows / switches working OK.

Can't puzzle it out .. any ideas ??

It's meeting resistance and thinks there's an obstruction.
Clean around all the seals and lubricate with silicone spray. Then using door switch go all the way down, then all the way up holding the switch up til it reaches the top, then hold up for another 10 seconds.
