Default Unknown icon in XC60 driver display

In the driver's display I've noticed, occasionally, on the speedo side the display of a white car facing the driver with a blue background. Had a quick scan of the manual but can't find anything. Does anyone know what it means?

When it goes off, it's replaced with the speed limit icon (red circle, white background and the speed limit displayed).

TIA

This one: ?

It is a German road sign. The car is picking up an image and incorrectly identifying it as this road sign, and displaying it as it does other road signs.

Have had it a few times with my car, but not for 6 months or so now. No rhyme or reason I could see for something else being interpreted as this sign. You can ignore it.

On the off-chance that i’ll ever drive in Germany, what does that sign mean?

Basically it means expressway or autoroute. I am not sure of the precise definition ie. whether it means start of an autobahn or whether it means start of a road with special restrictions (like our expressways).

We have the chopsticks symbol which means start of motorway, the "happy car" symbol is used abroad. I cannot understand why my car displays it. Whether it is misreading something from the road environment or whether it is corruption in the database.

It means Motor Vehicles:
Including all multi-track motorised vehicles.

Other road signs could indicated only light vehicles (cars and small commercial vans, etc).

According to this:

It means "fast traffic highway" in Germany

There's a sign on my way to work showing the front of a vehicle which looks similar.... but in this case it is suggesting you put your headlights on... its where there is an awkward junction surrounded by trees. My v90 has popped the german sign up perhaps half a dozen times in a year of driving that route nearly every day! So not exactly consistent.
