Would not go any where near an auto wash for a gold watch or a pension.. Luckily round my neck of the woods, for £10 I can get a mini valet. Outside wash and leather dry, interior all surfaces cleaned and a good vacuuming out, glass clean inside and out. Don't bother with the tyre shine as I don't like it. Failing that if I fancy a couple of chill out hours I do it myself, maybe me but I find it a little bit therapeutic.. wax on, wax off. Crack open another tinnie, wax on , wax off

Went to the one on Crow Road, worked quite well car looks a lot cleaner! Just need to take a sponge to the caked on bird crap residue that's left on the roof!

Okay... on closer inspection I concede that the automatic car wash did a pretty poor job.

Next time I'll suck it up and try a hand car wash! Anyone got any good recommendations in Glasgow haha?

Sorry not Glasgow but I found a very nice philipino in Cupar who did a good job on the xc when I was north of the border.

IMO car washes tend to be a lot better than petrol station and supermarket ones, and for a couple of years now they've had soft spongy strips instead of brushes so they don't thrash your paintwork. You also get a bit of a pre-scrub, and my local one has a DIY area too.
