Hi Jamie. I got my carpets from Brookhouse. Well recomended on here as I am sure you have seen. Give Simon a ring.
Yes, I am happy with them. It was the last thing I did and they really finished it off.

simon does not sell them anymore i belive as he had so many get sent back and i know why people were fitting them now due to early 120s not having a heater tunnel to direct the heat into the rear of car and the later ones having it the fit was hit and miss if you know what i mean so when ordering a carpet if ?? he sells them again now please !!! tell him what model you have and if it does or does not have a heater tunnel so it saves any issues

kind regards
robert

Interesting. Didnt know that. Mine has a rear heater duct and while there was a small bit of fettling, I was very happy with the fit.

Cool

yup some with heater tunnels were saying they did not fit correct 2 " short up the sides but ones without seemed to have a good fit with a wee bit extra and they only said that the hole where the tunnel comes through was a issue so its as if they mixed the templates and cut a combo of both pmsl but i have looked into this and sourced a correct template including fitting them myself so know where they fit and where they dont its IMPORTANT when ordering to get the correct carpet to match / suit the model its going into

i have even had some made with a heel mat added , my last batch im very impressed with although my upholster guy was having a moan at my carpet i used it gave him a worn hand when feeding it through his machine to edge lol as its proper tuffed ( red at the time ) carpet old english red that was they look sweet as a nut i have kept a set for myself next batch hes popping his price up so another cost to factor in when i do any errr but i will just see if i can dig a image out 1 sec .............

My '67 has the simple loop that seems more common, like a Bimmer 2002. Guess I'll have to look around a little. These seem much nicer...

Default Gear stick knob....

Sorry I distracted from the original question, so I will try to put us back on track....

Have you seen these? Not sure if they will fit the Amazon.

The OP has an 1800 and the eBay ones are the same size and shape as the originals. If you don't want a logo or shift pattern you just have to know the thread size to find a reasonable match. Diameter across the hole looks to be 9/16", whatever that works out to be. Thread is quite fine. Lock nut may or may not be needed but because you have to lift the lever on an 1800 to select reverse the knob has to be totally secure.

Anyone here with an early type 1800 remote change fitted to an Amazon?

Maybe those lever style anchorages are a European thing? I haven't gone crazy searching but I haven't seen any for sale or any real pics to examine. Anybody on the western side of the Atlantic got a line on them? Just kinda curious now...
