yes confirmed it was a later red coloured haynes book.
Will be gtaking the steering wheel off soon too so good to know.

When removing the steering wheel you'll need a deep socket as the steering column has a long threaded section with a plastic insulator on the end.

As long as it's a deep one. The unthreaded portion of the column projects about 1/2" above the nut. Also you need to use a socket that has a wide enough hole beyond the hexagonal section. The column won't fit inside the 1/2" square drive.

I bought a deep one for the steering wheel nut so for me it's useful for the hub nuts. Win-win.
