Alarm randomly going off
Hi all,
I remember when if first bought the v50 the previous owner mentioned it would randomly go off occasionaly. Now a few weeks ago it started randomly going off ,so to rectify I disconnected the battery. All fine for a few weeks until Sunday morning at 0400 when I thought I heard a house alarm going off , turns out it was the Volvo. Unlocked it and waited a while and a different sounding alarm then started going off , so again disconnected the battery as a temporary measure. Yesterday I removed the alarm siren fuse (f56) and now that car won't lock , had some other weird electrical behaviour this morning too , the rear fog won't stay on. Any suggestions ?

Don't have anything like that left in the car. Which is probably a good thing now it's sat unlocked 😁

Have you tried putting it on reduced guard to disable the inside movement sensor? On yours it's probably a menu option rather than a dedicated button like the pre face-lift models.

It's almost always one of 2 things.
1. Phone or WiFi device left inside car 2. Battery in siren unit died or dying. Replace the siren unit under the panel covering the plenum chamber.
