Default 2.0D - engine went dead and it is Impossible to start

Dear all,

I'm new on the fórum. Own a V70 S3 - 2.0D, 182.000 km, December 08. Always serviced on Volvo dealer.

20 days ago I was driving oh the highway when i heard a rotating noise coming from the motor. It became imposible to accelarate. Stoped the car and it was imposible to restart. The problema ocurred 10 minutes after refueling.

After 20 days on my volvo service dealer they are unable to put the engine to work again.

Checked the High Pressure pump and it was ok (a small diesel leak and pumping at 1700 bar). Checked the motor alignment and everything is fine. They arrived to the conclusion that there isnt enough pressure on the commonrail but are not able to keep the engine running. They have a mechanical working on the car for 4/5 days and can't solve the problema.

They are working now with the factory support, but theengine went dead and can't put it running.

Any ideas of what the problema might be?

Best regards,

Best regards,
If the battery has been flat for any length of time the Engine ECU can loose its data and will need a software reload … they should know that of course ...
