C70 T5 thermostat
Hello
I have just swapped my v70 t5 for a c70 t5 on an 03 plate. I have noticed it is getting cold when driving on faster roads so think it needs a new thermostat. Here lies the issue. Eurocarparts supplied 2 x thermostats but the main dealer says I have to change the whole lot. I have unbolted the front of the thermostat and you can remove the thermostat without taking the whole unit off even though it looks like the same as the whole assembly volvo are talking about. Can anyone clear this up please ??? |

Hi Burkey
Sorry I dont understand, have they supplied two identical thermostats? If so, just use one. If not, I am not sure what the other one is for. Steve

Hello so they did supply 2 stats which were wrong. Volvo says you change the whole housing as a unit. Eurocarparts do these full assemblies for £30 where as Volvo charge £120. I have got it stripped down now and have the part and I am going to just change the stat that cane with the new housing along with the front and will let you know how it goes. Seems odd that you can't but the stat without the housing
