Hello,
From the excellent Beiderbecke Affair, starring James Bolam as jazz fan and wood work teacher Trevor Chaplin.
Here, Trev's love interest Jill Swinburne, played by Barbara Flynn, is canvassing to join the elite at the local council.
'We are on the brink of a new era, if only...'

Cheers

Paddington. (the movie made in 2014) a heavily pregnant Mrs Brown goes into hospital on the back of Mr Brown's motorbike, and emerges to find that he has swapped his reckless lifestyle for one of safety and responsibility.

Hi, Michael J Fox, driving the Delorean DMC 12 with the Volvo edition of the PRV v6, must like Volvo's.

Not film and TV but a website.
Tony who runs the Northern Lights prediction site: aurora-service.eu seems to be a proud 240 owner.

The End of the Tour, 2015 movie about a literary love affair between journalist David Lipsky and his hero David Foster Wallace contains an extended scene where four main characters drive around Bloomington, Minnesota in a nice-looking white 240 estate.
it pops up briefly in the trailer: https://youtu.be/fqUa5sYHC9s?t=1m16s

I'm not sure whether we're supposed to be grateful that Clarkson didn't get too sarcastic about the 240, although he did start with the old cliche about antique dealers driving them. He did say they were good value, but obviously throwing one around country lanes didn't appeal to him.

It would be outside the logic of someone like Clarkson to say 'you'll get 25 years or 200,000+ miles out of this car'. Who cares that central locking and power windows were by then standard.

John

Just seen todays edition of Pie in the Sky on channel 20 (sad or what, but confined to barracks right now after eye operation), and a beige 240 estate briefly drove off. Looked like my old '83 one but that was scrapped......

The unstoppable meets the immovable!

I was watching Executive Decision the other night and during a car chase at the start a 240 was hit broadside by the only other car (outside of another 240) capable of surviving the hit, a Merc W123.

Should have been in Clash of the Titans.

How about a throwaway shot on "the Missing" last night?
Filmed in front of a Volvo military sales specialist in Germany, with a few 240s in the showroom including some very US spec headlights.
jolly good.
