Exclamation Wiring Loom

I have a 1991 Volvo 240GL it is almost perfect running order with only 59,000 miles on the clock unfortunately I have been plagued with a rear light near side problem that are new. The tail and stop light don’t work and Volvo say they cannot source new replacement loom as it is corroded. Can anybody help.

If you are moderately competent with a multimeter you should be able to work out which wire or connector has failed and just bypass it rather than replace bits of Volvo loom.

This story is about fixing the rear fog lamps, but the idea will apply just as well to your tail lights:

Good fortune.
