Running rich
Hi all
My 145 20a is running rich. I have had the carb apart and serviced it but to no avail at the moment. One of the things that I haven't managed to do it renew the needle as I was not able to remove the old one from the slide so I left the old one in place. I am not sure if this could be the reason for the rich running but I am open to any ideas that people have. I have not had the car long but I have found out the there is no need to use the choke to start it. On very cold mornings it struggles to tick over once it has warmed up. I am thinking that this all points to the mixture being too rich. Any help is greatly appreciated. Cheers Tony |

Hi arcturus
Yep I did think of getting a recon one but at around £130 I couldn't justify it really so the cheaper rebuild kit seemed like a good idea at £38 although false economy and all that! Cheers Tony |
