Volvo XC90 factory fit GPS. This is not a genuine volvo GPS, but it works nearly the same. The main difference is this one is a touch screen where the factory one is not. The GPS can be set to rise up when you start the car or put the car in reverse. When you engage reverse the reverse camera is on the screen. The GPS is currently running Garmin maps, but as the unit uses win CE5 it can also run Tom Tom and other maps.

I have installed the unit to test it, and it still has the protective cover on the screen. As it is designed for OEM fitting it does not come with detailled instructions(only simple instruction) But I will provide full email support on how to instrall. To instal the head unit, you only need to connect 3 wires, (earth, switched 12 volt and a permanent 12 volt), the camera mounts in the light socket above the number plate and has its own light

The unit comes with 3 remote controls, but only one has english wording the other 2 most words are in chinese. But once the unit it set up you don't need the remotes.
In the kit you will recieve the head unit(motorized screen), dash mouting plate, dash cover, wiring loom, reverse camera and wiring loom, GPS module that mounts under passenger seat, and GPS anntena. The kit includes all parts necessary to install the system. I am happy to send better photo graphs if require. Why pay over $4k for factory unit and extra to upgrade maps when you can buy this touch screen system with your choice of GPS system for a fraction of the price |

It looks similar to units I found at
http://www.xcaraudio.com/Shop/HDGPS/201002/22.html http://www.suavdvdgps.com/product_Info.asp?id=423 xcaraudio quoted $880 US and suavdvdgps quoted $780. I have not bought from either yet as I am still researching. If you go to one of these web sites you might notice that coco123 posts are cut straight from one of them If anyone has bought from either I would be interested in how they are going. Last edited by cneverall; Nov 1st, 2011 at 22:31. Reason: Noticed coco123 has simply cut and pasted from one of the web sites above |
