Question Volvo v70 2002

Hi, I have a Navtec (Volvo factory fitted) pop up RTI system in my 2002 V70.
I keep getting error messages telling me the DVD player cannot read the disc.

I replaced the previous disc because it was very, very badly sratched and now have a nearly new disc but it still gives me the same message.

The replacement disc is the correct disc, i.e. for the year i.e. 2002 but I have been told I need to update the software.

I haven't got a clue what or how this is achieved. Can you help please?

Thank you in advance.

I had this problem some time ago & run a disc cleaner in it. you need to keep putting the cleaning disc in & out 4 or 5 times. If this does not work then it needs stripping down & the laser cleaned. My RTI disc is always mucky so the laser must be too. My 2008 disc updated the RTI & the 2010 disc updated RTI as well.
